This year, Branch Out International is sending out eight alternative break trips to Central America, Africa, and the Caribbean during the winter, spring, and summer breaks. One hundred participants will work alongside community members in these locations to address issues such as education, women’s empowerment, public health, and community development. Our major goals for the year are to improve the sustainability of our projects in-country and to continue advocating for these social justice issues back in the US. We would love to hear from alumni who have ideas or know of resources that could be helpful in those areas! In the spring semester several of our teams will be recruiting new members and we will be accepting applications for new teams to join our program. Contact Kate Furgurson for more information.
